Look How Happy This Dog Is When He's Reunited With His Owner After 8 Years
In 2007, Joshua Edwards had his dog, Duke, stolen from him from his garden in Florida. He searched for his lost pup for six months, but he was left heartbroken when he couldn’t find him.
But eight years later, Edwards received a call: Duke was found, dirty and alone, walking near a Miami roadway, and that he was going to be reunited with his long-lost doggy pal!
Duke had a microchip identifier, and so vets were able to identify his owner.
Edwards was taken aback when Duke walked through the door at the Tamiami Animal Hospital for their dramatic reunion.
They’re both seen crying as Duke licks his owners face.
“I think he knew who I was right away,” said Edwards to the Miami Herald. “I never thought I would see him again.”
He added: “I have my dog back. I’m so grateful.”
But the important questions have yet to be answered. Where was Duke for 8 years? Did he set up a lost doggy community? Will he reveal his past to his owner?
In the meantime, you can watch the glorious reunion here:
